The Council of Ministers has endorsed the advancement of major conveyance infrastructure, reaffirming the project's role in national water security.
Amman — The Council of Ministers has approved the next phase of works for the National Conveyance Project, marking a significant step forward in Jordan's long-term water security strategy.
The decision confirms continued government support for the desalination, conveyance, and distribution infrastructure that will deliver climate-resilient drinking water to communities across the Kingdom.
Senior officials noted that the project aligns with the National Water Strategy (2023–2040) and reinforces Jordan's commitment to diversifying its water supply through non-conventional resources.
The National Conveyance Project Management Unit will proceed with coordinated implementation activities in close partnership with government entities, international development partners, and the private sector.
